DRIVE-IN CHURCH AT FBC
Easter Sunday, April 12, 10:00 a.m.
The governor of Virginia has lifted the ban on drive-in churches for the state. While many churches opted to ignore the original guidelines developed by the Department of Commerce and Trade, we followed them. But now the decision has been made to allow those services
with these restrictions:
- Everyone must remain in their cars. Getting out of the vehicle negates the legitimacy of the meeting and is against policy guidelines.
- Individuals in each car must share the same living space. In other words, we cannot pick up friends along the way and share a car at the service.
- For those leading the service, the six foot restriction needs to be in place.
Based on this new information, we will be having church services on this Easter Sunday, April 12, 10:00 a.m., in the upper parking lot (where the playground is). Please note that parking spaces are first come, first served. The entrance to the parking lot closest to the playground will be closed as an entrance. After the service, it will be opened to leave the service. When you arrive, parking attendants will assist you in getting in place. Please also note that leaving the service before it is complete (we estimate 45 minutes) will be difficult if not impossible, so please keep that in mind.
We appreciate your patience as we attempt to work out whatever kinks we find in this system. I am sure there will be some glitches, but let’s celebrate the opportunity to be at least in proximity of one another as we worship! And I offer a special thanks to those on the front lines who are working through the logistics to make this a reality.
Again, please note the time of the service: 10:00 a.m.!
And don’t forget to decorate the cross sometime the day before Easter!
The sermon will be posted on the website as well for those who are unable to make the drive-in service.
Welcome to the FBC Drive-In!
SEE you Sunday!
